Orders

Our standard lead time is 3 - 5 business days, although this can differ from product to product. Personalised items like ID tags can take up to 7 business days before they're ready to ship, and jerseys can take up to 15 business days before they're ready to ship. Orders are consolidated into one shipment, in order to conserve costs.

Once your order is shipped (ie. handed to our couriers), you'll receive an email with the tracking info. If you're using Gmail, please whitelist our address (hello@lafurmilia.co.za) or check your Gmail promotions tab, as these emails often get "hidden" there. You can also check your SPAM or Junk mail folder.

Shipping

We offer two shipping options:
1. Courier delivery to your door for R90.
2. Pudo Locker delivery for R70. Please remember to email us your preferred locker location (find available lockers here: https://pudo.co.za/where-to-find-us.php ). Also note that once your package is delivered to your chosen locker, you only have 24 hours to collect. After this, the package will be returned to us and you will have to pay a reshipping fee. We unfortunately cannot be held responsible for packages that have not been collected within the 24 hour collection period.

Orders over R1000 are shipped via door to door courier free of charge.

Payment

Only one discount can be used per order. So if you have a email subscriber discount already applied in your cart (10% off your first purchase), you won't be able to add a further promotional discount at checkout as well.
We accept Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards (make sure your card is set up for online shopping with your bank) via our payment processors, PayFast (www.payfast.co.za) or Yoco (www.yoco.com), as well as Zapper.

Absolutely! La Furmilia does not store your credit card information at all. We use PayFast, Yoco and Zapper to facilitate payments on our site.

Card services: PayFast and Yoco, are a PCI DSS Level 1 service providers, whose techonology was developed with the same demands on security and performance as web sites used for banking services and share trading. Your account login, personal details, and all money transactions are secured using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with 256 bit encryption.

PayFast and Yoco enforces 3D-secure authorisation for each transaction. 3D-secure is a method of multi-factor authentication that requires a buyer to authorise a transaction using his/her banking app or via an OTP sent to their cellphone (these options will depend on the bank or credit card provider).

Products

There’s a wonderful old saying – measure twice, cut once (or buy in this case). But mistakes happen. Please see our refund and return policy for information on returning any item.
We've added a D-ring (so named for the shape of it) at the front of the harness, positioned at your dog’s chest. This discourages dogs from pulling on their lead during walks. When your dog pulls, the harness turns them towards you - which is exactly the opposite direction they want to go in. As soon as they stop pulling on the lead, they are able to continue moving forward. Everyone wins! In our experience dogs catch on pretty darn quickly (we just love them for this!) One family member has called this harness "life-changing" and we're pretty stoked with it ourselves!
On every product page in the tabs at the bottom of the page, you'll find a size guide for that particular product with all the measurements you need and instructions on how/where to measure. If the measurements fall on the edge of the upper measurement, we recommend you purchase the next size up. We've rounded up the size guides on this page
We’ve chosen our materials so the products are easy to take care of, because who needs more hand-wash only garments! Simply pop in the washing machine on a cold wash in a wash bag (a towel or other items will prevent the relentless banging of the hardware on the drum during the washing cycle and protect it too). If you want to handwash, a soak in some Omo will also do the trick. Then air-dry in the shade or indoors. When washing one of our winter jerseys that have velcro on, make sure the velcro is fastened together to avoid sticking to other garments in the same load. Also place the jersey in a wash bag.
