HI, WE'RE LA FURMILIA
And we are redefining what modern dogs wear in South Africa. We are a contemporary South African dog fashion and lifestyle brand, where family (or furmily as we like to call it) is at the heart of everything we do.
In 2020, we saw an opportunity to bring something exciting to the local dog goods market, inspired by what was available internationally. We felt that it was about time Saffa dogs and their humans had fashion options beyond plain colours and basic, cheap, ugly imports.

Our dog goods are designed to effortlessly blur the lines between fashion and function: We believe dogwear should offer exceptional comfort, safety and durability, while still being a joy to look at and incorporate into your day to day. Above all else, quality is our overriding principle.

We're driven by our core values: choosing quality materials to create exceptional dog goods that far outlast cheaper alternatives; reducing waste and opting for sustainable materials in our operations; and advocating for animal rescue because we believe every dog deserves a loving home.
LOCAL IS LEKKER.
We are #capemade. We handcraft as many of our products as possible, locally. While many of our raw materials are not available in South Africa, we still make every effort to produce as much of our finished products as we can in the RSA. Our SS24 collections are handmade in Cape Town and our winter wear collections have always been made locally.

On a Thursday, we suddenly decided to go on holiday with our dogs the following week. We decided to get tags in case the dogs got lost on holiday. We contacted La Furmilia that same day (at something like 8pm), asking if it were possible for us to place an order and get our tags by the Monday (as we were leaving the Tuesday). La Furmilia replied that same evening (completely out of business hours) and assured us that they will escalate our order and ensure that we get it that Monday. And we did!

We ordered a cat collar with a pet ID tag. We are very happy with the product and the packaging was beautiful. Even got a little treat for our cat. I can highly recommend La Furmilia.
These are the best ID tags for cats and dogs alike- no dangling to annoy them and they are silent. They are also very pretty and look great on the collar. I love that you can replace the rubber band independently of the actual name tag. A real winner.

Great quality and beautiful
Replaced the glow-in-the-dark with a black silicone tag and are glad I did. The black and silver stands out so much better. :-)
I love the tag it slides on easily and doesn't bother my cat.
Our two poodles now have lots of relevant info on their collars. Ther no clunking when they have a good scratch or eat and drink. Happy.
The silent slide on tag is definitely the best alternative to the normal hanging tags. I was relieved when I saw La Furmilia has the option available. The Service is also good and I will be back for other pet accessories.
